From rural, pastoral views along the 25 miles of Stark Parks-managed Towpath Trail running through Stark County to areas rich with historical treasures along the America’s Byway - this section of the Canalway offers canvases of all types for photographers to explore.

• The St. Helena III Canal Boat being pulled along the Towpath in beautiful Canal Fulton
• Numerous museums, historic sites and beautiful structures offer intriguing photography subjects - including:
• Massillon - the Massillon Museum, Ohio Military Museum, and the Spring Hill Historic Home and farmlands
• Canton - 108 Steps leading up to President William McKinley’s Monument, the Angels on top of the Canton Courthouse, and the beautiful historic buildings of the National First Ladies’ Library

Canal Fulton photographers Gigi Muir and Kay Wuske embarked on their own Canalway trek in 2010, spending 300+ days taking more than 80,000 photos along the 81+ mile Towpath Trail. We asked for their suggestions on photo ops to watch for in the coming months - enjoy!
